Microsoft has some decent pointers on improving your Wireless Access Point. I currently use the Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router with the HGA7T High Gain Antenna for R-TNC Connectors and I have had really good results. I have also done what the article recommends as well to improve my wifi just as much as I can. I am a fanboy of the Linksys products, but I have friends who use D-Link, NetGear and Buffalo as well with really good results.

Sometimes it really hurts to be on the bleeding edge of gaming. That's part of the reason I switched from PC to console gaming. It was too expensive to stay updated with the latest and greatest hardware. Well now Microsoft has done it to me again. I buy the latest and greatest console they have to offer and they upped the ante with this XBOX 360 Elite. The main reason I would want to buy it is for the bigger HD and the HDMI connection.

Wired News has a cool article on the unfinished Bruce Lee movie called Finishing the Game that is going to be finished by Justin Lin. The Wired article also has a YouTube link to one of the best fight, which is between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. Even if you don't care about the finishing of the last Bruce Lee movie, this fight scene is worth a viewing. Another YouTube video of Bruce Lee and a nunchuck dual.

The blog is a few weeks from it's one year anniversary. I am excited and a little burned out. It would help to have at least two more writers. Everyone I ask is excited, but then when it comes to pushing content out...no dice. I think the combo of school and the blog is overwhelming. I do like writing about the cool stuff I come across daily. I usually peruse about 500-700 blog articles per day. It's also fun to post thangs before my favorite blogs do. It shows me that I am on the right track with cool articles. ;-)

The world's only Blue Rose is the product of RNAi technology. "Technology brings beauty to the world" is proven true once again. ;-) So a dozen roses means "I'm Sorry!" A single red rose traditionally means "I Love You!" What does a single blue rose mean?

TechEBlog is a great blog with all types of topics. One of the categories of topics I really like is the Photoshop Howto's. Here is a list of some of my favorites.
I also found a cool new blog called Interesting Finding Over the Net which has some cool photoshop hybrid animals.

Bungie.net, the makers of Halo series, got a face lift and more.
"Is this just a visual overhaul, or are there more fundamental changes?
This is way more than a visual overhaul. Many fundamental changes have been made to the content system, our new layout control system, the profile pages, stat pages, etc. Pretty much everything about the site has changed. Even the forums got more than new look – we’ve changed how profiles/signatures work, for example."

The 300 workout is all the rage since the release of the movie, 300. GymJones is the workout facility and philosophy behind the Spartan Warrior statues. Nothing fancy just hard work and a good diet. CrossFit.com is a similar program of combining compound movements, lifting, and throwing as well. Git-er-done!
"Gym Jones is not a cozy place. There’s no AC, no comfortable spot to sit and there are no mirrors. Stressors are intentionally designed to cause discomfort and apprehension. Effort and pain may not be avoided. Physical and psychological breakdowns occur. The support of a like-minded group, dedicated to The Art of Suffering, provides a safety net. An individual will push harder and risk more in the company of trustworthy peers and that’s one reason the gym is not open to the public."

This is from an email I got earlier today. It's very funny! EMAIL: If you can read this whole story without laughing, then there's no hope for you. I was crying by the end. This is an actual account as relayed to paramedics at a chili cook-off in Texas. Note: Judge #3 was an inexperienced Chili taster named Frank, who was visiting from Springfield, IL. Frank: "Recently, I was honored to be selected as a judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table, asking for directions to the Coors Light truck, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy; and, besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted and became Judge 3." Here are the scorecard notes from the event: CHILI # 1 - MIKE'S MANIAC MONSTER CHILI CHILI # 2 - AUSTIN'S AFTERBURNER CHILI CHILI # 3 - FRED'S FAMOUS BURN DOWN THE BARN CHILI CHILI # 4 - BUBBA'S BLACK MAGIC CHILI # 5 - LISA'S LEGAL LIP REMOVER CHILI # 6 - VERA'S VERY VEGETARIAN VARIETY CHILI # 7 - SUSAN'S SCREAMING SENSATION CHILI CHILI # 8 - BIG TOM'S TOENAIL CURLING CHILI
Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the first two judges, the reaction of the third judge is even better. For those of you who have lived in Texas, you know how true this is.They actually have a Chili Cook-off about the time Halloween comes around. It takes up a major portion of a parking lot at the San Antonio City Park.
Judge # 1 -- A little too heavy on the tomato. Amusing kick.
Judge # 2 -- Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild.
Judge # 3 (Frank) -- Holy crap, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.
Judge # 1 -- Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang.
Judge # 2 -- Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
Judge # 3 -- Keep this out of the reach of children. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face.
Judge # 1 -- Excellent firehouse chili. Great kick.
Judge # 2 -- A bit salty, good use of peppers.
Judge # 3 -- Call the EPA. I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting shit-faced from all of the beer.
Judge # 1 -- Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
Judge # 2 -- Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.
Judge # 3 -- I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out taste buds?Sally, the beer maid, was standing behind me with fresh refills. This 300 lb. woman is starting to look HOT ... just like this nuclear waste I'm eating! Is chili an aphrodisiac?
Judge # 1 -- Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
Judge # 2 -- Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
Judge # 3 -- My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted, and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off. It really ticks me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Screw them.
Judge # 1 -- Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spices and peppers.
Judge # 2 -- The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, garlic. Superb.
Judge # 3 -- My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. I crapped on myself when I farted, and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that Sally. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my butt with a snow cone.
Judge # 1 -- A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
Judge # 2 -- Ho hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. **I should take note that I am worried about Judge # 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.
Judge # 3 -- You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a thing. I've lost sight in one eye,and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava to match my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing it's too painful. Screw it; I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach.
Judge # 1 -- The perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
Judge # 2 -- This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge #3 farted, passed out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it. Poor feller, wonder how he'd have reacted to really hot chili?
Judge # 3 -- No Report

Spring Break is next week and I am VERY excited to have a week off from homeowrk. I am trying to get a buddy of mine, who is a comic book guru, to do some writing for the site. I think he has a very keen perspective into the comic book world, but we'll see if I am convincing enough.

Captain America is killed off. This is supposed to be a "sign of the times." Who kills off Captain America?
"The superhero was spawned when a scrawny arts student named Steve Rogers, ineligible for the army because of his poor health but eager to serve his country, agreed to a "Super Soldier Serum" injection. The substance made him a paragon of physical perfection, armed only with his shield, his strength, his smarts and a command of martial arts."

My weekly recaps have turned into biweekly recaps, but I think I got some good stuff. I am also not really inspired by what I am reading lately. I found some cool stuff this weekend, so I hope to have a few more items this week. I am also starting two new blog entries called /* Jolly Roger */ and /* Cool Tool Whatchamacallits */ I hope you like them.

I have had to reset my PocketPC to the factory default and then re-install my programs. It wasn't that hard, but it was kind of a annoyance. To be able to create a single installer for all of the apps I use on my PocketPC would be cool. TekSoft provides that functionality through AirWizard.
"With AirWizard, you can take several CAB files, a splash image, a readme text file with instructions and create a compressed, self extracting installer to be runned directly on your Pocket PC or Smartphone. With AirWizard you can create one single installer for all your favorite programs."
